* I have been looking for this product for the past fifteen years!!! I am lactose intolerant but I need creamer in my coffee, and giving up my coffee is not an option, so I tried the usual brands of non-dairy creamer. I wasn't happy with the trans fats in most of them (read the labels)and finally settled on a brand I liked that didn't contain trans fats. But last week my doctor asked me to do a three week dairy free elimination trial to see if I may be allergic to dairy, and to my surprise, my favorite non-dairy creamers and products contained DAIRY!!!! (caseinate) My doctor also wants me to avoid soy products, and I really haven't liked the taste of the coconut creamers I've found. Almond milk is drinkable in coffee, but not something I really enjoy. So I looked online again for the millionth time for a suitable alternative and found this product. Unfortunately it is sold out online everywhere right now, (manufacturer is out of stock) but I was lucky enough to find it at my local Stop & Shop yesterday! I tried it when I got home and I am so happy I found this product! I bought the unsweetened regular, and it tastes much more like regular non-dairy creamer than anything else I've found. I'm so happy I can enjoy my coffee guilt-free now! I signed up to be notified by Netrition when it comes back in stock, so I know I'll have a reliable source!
* This is the best substitute I have found for half and half in my coffee. I gave up dairy but didn't want to give up my daily coffee. I used almond milk at first, but it wasn't very good. I don't want to use the Silk and other commercial non-dairy coffee creamers because of all the junk in them, not the least of which are sweeteners, which I am avoiding. Mimiccreme has a much "cleaner" ingredient list with no added oils or sweeteners. I found it first on my grocery store shelf, in the natural and organic section with other dairy alternatives. At first, it used to be thicker, more syrupy when poured out of the package, so i needed less per serving of coffee. but then they changed the formula, because others were turned off by its consistency, I guess. It was hard to find in a store after that. So happy to have found it here, and at a great price. Much less than I paid in store! Now I order a dozen at a time every couple of months, to save on shipping.
* This doesn't take the place of creamer/cream for coffee. I was looking for an alternative to heavy whipping cream but this won't do it for me. It doesn't lighten the coffee and detracts from the flavor of coffee.
