    * I have never eaten a "real" scone so I don't know how these measure up but I suspect that the real scone is quite a bit better. That being said, I rather like these. The only real downside for me is the texture -- these are very dense, even tough, and incredibly dry. The dryness is quite stark -- it took me by surprise. And like many low-carb baked products they really aren't absorbent -- even submerged in heavy cream they remained dry. Still, so long as I had plenty to drink along with them, I found them quite tasty slathered in butter.

Though I've not eaten scones before I did a little research and though these probably don't come that close to any conventional scone, I suspect that they are more like British scones than American scones (as I understand it, the principal differences are that British scones are made with less butter and are less sweet, having only a slight sweetness . . . sometimes even made as savory rather than sweet). These have just a light sweetness to them, coming primarily from the blueberries, I suspect, which impart only a very subtle blueberry flavor.

I'm sure that many will find the texture too off-putting to find these satisfying, but though I don't care much for the texture, I like the product. Like most specialty foods, the price is a bit daunting but I will likely be ordering again.

    * I took a shot ... and missed. This 'scone' is dry and crumbly with VERY little blueberry flavor. With all the other low-carb/sugar-free options, I'd skip this one.

    * Texture is heavy, tough, dry. Followed instructions to sprinkle with water & microwave, and texture didn't improve much. Flavor is mostly absent, certainly not chocolatey.

    * I like a lot of Dixie products but not this one. I purchased the blueberry scones and all I taste is the sugar glaze, nothing else, no blueberry flavoring to my taste buds.
