Mass-Tech is a delicious, high-protein weight gainer that contains a precise blend of musclebuilding protein, energy-providing carbohydrates, and healthy fats that will help you put on mass. The ideal macronutrient profile in Mass-Tech is perfect for bodybuilders and other athletes who are looking to build muscle and increase strength without adding extra fat to their physique. Mass-Tech supplies 2000 calories per day, when taken twice daily mixed with 2 cups of skim milk per serving, and is packed with 45 grams of high-quality protein to help repair and aid in the growth of muscle size and strength. In fact, in one research study, the protein component found in approximately 1 serving of Mass-Tech was found to increase protein synthesis by an average of 68 percent. Mass-Tech also contains 150 grams of energy-producing carbohydrates, is low in sugar, and provides 5 grams of fiber per serving. MuscleTech also included additional support ingredients, including the proprietary blend Mass-Pro in Mass-Tech to help jump-start your gains in mass. No other weight-gain formula in existence contains this exact combination of ingredients.
I don't know about the science behind it, but as an end user I can tell you that MassTech works the best of the protein powders I have used so far (3).
I also had the best blood test results while using this product.

This product (like a few Muscle Tech items) is packed with a decent and varied amount of proteins (isolate, concentrate, etc.), plenty of vitamins and most importantly a good proprietary blend that includes Creatine, amino acids, Glutamine, etc. In fact this is what sets this and many Muscle Tech products apart from other Meal Replacements and protein powders. Unfortunately (and inexplicably) Muscle Tech adds heaping amounts of Maltodextrin to this product which certainly accounts for a large part of the whopping 830 calories Mass-tech packs. Maltodextrin is cheap filler (corn starch) that is used in everything from cake mix to candy bars. Maltodextrin is a cheap, crappy, empty carbohydrate-filler. Anything from brown rice powder to dehydrated sweet potato (healthy, low glycemic carbs) could have been used to bolster Mass-tech's calorie count - but apparently Muscle Tech decided to cut corners and make Maltodextrin FIRST in its list of ingredients in Mass-Tech. Disappointing.
This is not a terrible product, but it is not a perfect product either. They do not exist unfortunately. However, like many baking products where individuals are looking to gain size (not necessarily all in the form of muscle) companies choose to use substances like maltodextrin which is used to spike insulin levels in an attempt to help with protein synthesis. While lower GI carbs are fantastic and healthy after a workout or a long night sleep individuals who are interested in getting bigger seek the spike in insulin coupled with various whey proteins that a product like Mass-Tech provides.
