Millet Bread For The Bread MachineIngredients:
- 1/3 cup Hulled Millet
- 1 large Egg + 1 Egg White
- 1-1/2 tbsp. Honey
- 2-1/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- 3/4 cup Millet Flour
- 3 tbsp. Vital Wheat Gluten
- 2-1/4 tbsp. Italian Herb Blend
- 3/4 tsp. Sea Salt
- 2 tsp. Active Dry Yeast
- 1 cup Soy Milk (room temperature)
This is a wonderful crunchy bread that fills the air with subtle scent of Italian seasonings when baked. This attractive millet-studded loaf owes its crunch to the millet seeds.
Add all ingredients in the order suggested by your bread machine cycle and process on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturer’s directions.
Let loaf cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
Makes one 1-1/2 lb loaf.
Preheat oven to 400-425°. Set aside ungreased cookie sheet.
In large mixing bowl combine all the dry ingredients, blend well. In another large bowl combine all the wet ingredients, blend well. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mix well. This makes a thick batter which can be poured.
Spoon cookie batter onto cookie sheet and bake approximately 12-14 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
