October 02, 2020Reviewer: Tami in Ohio* This definitely does not have the texture of a regular cake. It has a grainy texture due to the almond meal used. Not quite as grainy as say a corn bread, but definitely not smooth. It didn't taste bad,but I won't reorder this product. That's a shame because it was so easy to make. Not having to measure out ingredients to make a cake from scratch appealed to me. However, the convenience didn't make up for the grainy texture. I'll stick to making cake at home the old fashioned way.

It's not awful, but the almond flour comes through loud and clear both in flavor and texture so misses the mark, if you're looking for a good vanilla cake. I will note that the cake is moist and easy to prepare, but I won't be reordering.
