May 16, 2020Reviewer: James in Maryland* This made a really good pizza crust. I was surprised at the egg added in making a pizza crust, but it baked fine and browned nicely with some olive oil on the pizza pan. The crust had a bit of a coconut flavor given the main ingredient is coconut flour. The coconut flavor was not overpowering and I don't mind coconut although a bit unusual flavor for pizza. I could overlook the coconut flavor with all the good sauce and cheese as the primary tastes. This mix has none of the fake low carb flour taste that I've experienced with some other products so I'll gladly trade a little coconut flavor for no fake tasting flour substitute. The crust is not really firm so it's not going to get hard on you in the oven. Don't be afraid to bake the crust a little longer as long as you check that it is not burning.
Lots of good fiber per serving is a plus.
If you are making pizza crust, be sure to bake the crust separately per the directions before adding any sauce, cheese and toppings.
The dough is a little sticky, so it helps to reserve maybe a teaspoon of the mix to sprinkle over the dough as you form a ball. This also helps the dough roll out well between the parchment paper.
I didn't try this as a bread only as a pizza crust, but I suspect it would make a decent soft bread.

September 18, 2019Reviewer: Nancy in Ohio* I tried this for a pizza crust and it was awful. I am not a fan of coconut flour and it could be tasted which gave the pizza an odd flavor. It did bake up nicely though. I also did not care for the texture at all. I’m glad I tried it, but will keep searching.

September 12, 2019Reviewer: Gail in New Mexico* This is hands down the best GF bread mix I've tried. The taste and texture are excellent and it's very low carb. Of course, it's expensive, but worth it to me as an occasional indulgence.
