It's the only unsweetened condensed milk I've ever found. It's shelf stable, so it stays in the pantry until needed, then into the fridge after opening. It's very thick and rich, lovely in coffee! It's perfect for camping, motor home, or travel when you want to have a cream option. It's also exactly what's needed in so many recipes for low carb or low glycemic baking. I use it to make our family's traditional sugared walnuts at Christmas, in addition to several other baked desserts. I recommend it to everyone! And it has come in handy more than once when I've run out of cream and didn't want to head to the grocery store.

This, alone, is reason enough to keep cans on hand. I refrigerate mine before using based on a tip from a friend who told me about this. (I've forgotten why -slight natural separation maybe?, corrected by stirring.) You can easily stir flavors into it, such as sweeteners, cinnamon, DaVinci syrups, etc. Wonderful on desserts, fresh fruit, muffins, etc. Not always easy to find. This current price is competitive. We use it as part of a low-carb diet.
