May 31, 2016Reviewer: Nicholas in United Kingdom/Great Britain* On the label it says the main ingredient is, "chicory root dietary fiber". Well, the dietary fiber obtained from chicory root is inulin, so that must be what it is.
This is about as sweet as erythritol, which is about 60-70% as sweet as sugar. It's also not really crystals like sugar is. Instead it's more like tiny slightly chewy granules. It also has a faint orange flavour.
I've found that this product is ok for dissolving in liquid, or adding to mostly dry foods; but if it's added to wet food such as a bowl of cereal with milk, the granules immediately absorb the liquid and turn into a white slimy substance.
February 03, 2014Reviewer: Janet in Florida* I have used Just Like Sugar for over two years.. It incorporates nicely, even over dry cereal. It tastes like sugar, I sprinkle it over pancakes once in a while. No after taste. It is not as sweet as sugar. 1 1/4 t in coffee is equal to 1 t sugar in sweetness.
