March 13, 2017Reviewer: Pamela in North Carolina* I am on the low carb diet and I wanted a pie crust that tastes like the real thing. This is it! I don't like a thick crust so I cut the recipe into 2 pie crusts. I've made 4 pies so far and I probably have enough left over for another pie crust or small batch of biscuits. I really want to try this as a chicken pot pie crust soon. LC Foods has many great low carb mixes and once again I am pleased. This mix is, hands down, the best pie crust.

The crust was everything it should be (crisp, flaky, and tasty). I used 2 cups of flour mix, 2/3 cup non hydrogenated shortening, 1 teaspoon salt, and 5 tablespoons water. Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening until very crumbly. Add 1 tablespoon water at a time to dry section and form into ball as you add water. Roll out half of dough between 2 pieces of parchment paper for top and bottom of crust. Makes one double 8 inch crust.

This is the BEST low carb flour product I have found. My favorites are Pie Crust, Pizza Crust, Pan Cakes, and Pasta. These products are REMARKABLE.
