My endocrinologist said he wishes it was banned and for sure anyone with diabetes, a family history of diabetes, who is pregnant (gestational diabetes) should AVOID maltodextrin.
If you have no problems with your blood sugar and are just watching your carbs/calories then I thought the taste of this was pretty good. I had it in a wonderful dessert at a friend's house but I'm diabetic and my blood sugar shot up to over 280! And that was just with a half cup serving of the dessert made with Sugar Twin.
