    * Yes, you do have to bake and crumble this product but it makes excellent low carb breadcrumbs and it is a lot easier than making the low carb bread yourself in a bread machine. I use these breadcrumbs in place of regular breadcrumbs in meatloaf, meatballs, and as breading. Terrific product!

    * For me, this product is a total miss. First, this product is not already prepared breadcrumbs. Instead it's a mix that you bake into a bread, dry, and turn into breadcrumbs. No points deducted for this since it's my own fault for not reading the description. I already have low carb bread I like and could use to make breadcrumbs. I was looking for a low carb product that would save me the bother. Second, I'm very sensitive to the taste of flax. The baked bread had that characteristic fishy flavor I find with products that include flax. Third, this mix is sweetened. When I made homemade wheat breadcrumbs I used leftover baguette and Italian breads that are not typically sweetened like white bread. For my taste the finished product was overly sweet and my non-low carb family easily detected the 'fake' sugar aftertaste. I'm sorry to say this went straight into the trash.

    * I wish I could give this product a rating of 10. It tastes EXACTLY like a high-carb pan bread, and -- the highest accolade I can think of -- I would actually serve it to guests. I should say that while I like using this as breadcrumbs, I like it even more as straight bread, in its pre-crumbed stage. A slice next to a bowl of soup (had that for lunch today) or some eggs is a wonderful thing: Coming up I plan to use it as a bed for, say, creamed mushrooms, or as an open-face grilled-cheese sandwich, to go with a salad. It also makes terrific croutons, and has ZERO LOW-CARB "TWANG." Love this stuff.
