January 12, 2021Reviewer: A guest* As very low carb goes, these bagels are as good as anyone could expect. I personally would like more flavoring in them i.e. more garlic. The flavorings are very mild, but then I'm sure some prefer it that way.
-
January 12, 2021Reviewer: A customer* These taste nothing like a bagel at all. Personally, I think they're terrible. This review is specific to Bagels, Onion

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulJanuary 02, 2021Reviewer: PAWEL in Massachusetts* We freeze the bagels when they arrive, then thaw a few when needed, 30 seconds in a microwave, and toast in a toaster. They make a great breakfast, especially with cream cheese or salmon. Try to toast on lower settings first as they just get dry with longer toasting.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulDecember 03, 2020Reviewer: Tammie in Kentucky* Love these in the Garlic or plain, however the Pumpkin and Cinnimon have NO flavor, so I'm not sure why they even make them and say they're this flavor or that flavor.

November 26, 2020Reviewer: A customer in Kentucky* These bagels are almost like a real bagel. I have enjoyed these a lot and plan on buying more. I recommend these keto bagels for everything. This review is specific to Bagels, Garlic Butter

November 19, 2020Reviewer: A customer in Kentucky* These bagels are good - - but they aren't as dense as a full carb bagel - and have no salt! but - I have been enjoying them using for egg sandwiches and will purchase again! This review is specific to Bagels, Multigrain

November 04, 2020Reviewer: Janet in Florida* I love Great Low Carb Bread Co. products. Why? The taste, the texture, the useability, The bagels can be eaten right out of the freezer. (Panic eating. )They’re even better cut in half and spread with cream cheese and apple butter. Or toasted and covered with a slice of cheese. But my favorite way to use the high protein/ low carb donut shaped roll is to turn it into a sweet roll. Sliced in half, dribble some DaVinci syrup over both halves. Warm in microwave for 15 seconds. Add jelly or cream cheese. Put back together. Sift powdered sugar over the top. Get creative. It’s worth it. Sometimes I tear out a channel to make space for scrambled eggs. This review is specific to Bagels, Multigrain

October 17, 2020Reviewer: Denise in Indiana* These are pretty good. I prefer them toasted as they are little chewy out of the fridge. I eat with Laughing Vow cheese wedges and McCormicks Everything Seasoning. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

October 06, 2020Reviewer: Karen in South Carolina* The bagels were good. Packaged as 6. Two of the bagels were obviously from an earlier batch. Not fresh. We toasted them and tried to refresh. Will try one more order. Hopefully all will be from same batch. This review is specific to Bagels, Garlic Butter

September 26, 2020Reviewer: Rhiannon in New York* Usually, I would say these are by far the best low carb bagels I've tried and get them with every purchase, but the most recent batch has almost been an entirely different product! Not sure if the company recently changed the recipe or just forgot an ingredient in this batch, but they are super tough and not at all like the soft bagels I used to enjoy warmed with peanut butter. If the recipe's changed, bring back the previous one please! This review is specific to Bagels, Cinnamon

September 26, 2020Reviewer: Brett in Massachusetts* Sorry, I didn't really like these. I didn't taste any of the garlic butter flavor and I did not like the texture at all. I know, I know, low carbs LOL. I would not order these again. I will try another brand or will just stick with my bialys or English muffins. This review is specific to Bagels, Garlic Butter

September 17, 2020Reviewer: patricia in Pennsylvania* I couldn't wait to try the "Everything" bagels as I have been craving a bagel for years. (Yes, years! But because of the high carbs, I haven't touched a regular bagel in 10 years.) So I ordered these with high hopes only to have a tough piece of cardboard come out of my toaster. NO flavor whatsoever, except for the cream cheese I put on it. I did give these a chance though, eating 3 of them over the next week or so before I couldn't take another one. Tossed the rest in the trash and chalked it up to a lesson learned! Don't waste your $$$ on these.......unless you love the taste of cardboard. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything
-
September 15, 2020Reviewer: Donna in Maryland* This is not a bagel - it's in the shape of a bagel, but it doesn't have the chewy consistency of a bagel, or the heft of a bagel (this is one thing that homemade low carb breads typically get right), and the pumpernickel flavor doesn't even taste like pumpernickel. This review is specific to Bagels, Pumpernickel
-
September 14, 2020Reviewer: A customer in Maryland* I was so happy to find Keto friendly Pumpernickel bagels, which are my favorite. For me, everything else is a compromise.
I am very pleased with the product, Toasted with cream cheese, it is quite good. Thinking that i would never have another "real" pumpernickel bagel, I am delighted to say, I will not feel deprived.

September 06, 2020Reviewer: James in Michigan* I am a type 2 diabetic. The taste is really good and there is no noticeable blood sugar change for me when I eat these bagels. It is hard to find a bread product to taste like the product it is trying to imitate. This product comes the closest of any product I have tried. Again, this product works well for me. I would recommend anyone try them to see if it works for them. This review is specific to Bagels, Onion

September 05, 2020Reviewer: Linda in Arkansas* Have been ordering this product monthly for very long time. With few issues. however, the last shipment was not eatable. The bagels were very dry and like cement. Tried toasting but still could not eat them. I will order again as I really like them but another shipment like this one will be my last. This review is specific to Bagels, Pumpernickel

August 20, 2020Reviewer: Susan in Arizona* Unlike homemade high fiber/low carb bagels, these tasted like bagels and actually have a bagel "chew" to them. They do need some kind of jam or cream cheese on them to provide some moisture. I plan to order more.
FYI, the Great Low Carb Bread Company has become my go to brand for breads, bagels, and pastas.

August 18, 2020Reviewer: Richard in California* If you are keto or low-carb, this is good enough to stop your nostalgic longings for That Which We Shall No Longer Have. Unlike sticky cheese loafs in a toroidal guise, this is real bread product. The taste is fine - better with an herb spread or lox. It's not pillowy or super chewy, but it's a bagel, no question. It helps me feel normal
-
2 of 2 people found the following review helpfulAugust 09, 2020Reviewer: Stephen in New Jersey* I have gotten the Everything Bagel three time now, I agree with one reviewer that there isn't much on them. With that said these bagels make doing low-carb eating so much more tolerable. I miss my bread than the bagels and hamburger rolls from Great Low Carb Bread Company are making life better.
Tips:
KEEP FROZEN, until you are ready to use
Defrost in the microwave carefully until just soft enough to cut with a "serrated knife"
Toast - - but don't over toast of they get very hard and brittle.
Put your cream cheese, mayo or what ever you are adding ASAP, this helps lock in the moister in bagel.
ENJOY

August 06, 2020Reviewer: Michael in New York* These are pretty awful. If you toast them they become flavorless and dry. If you don't, they're a little better, but still not really worth eating. Not that great. This review is specific to Bagels, Rye

-
August 03, 2020Reviewer: Lynn in Pennsylvania* I've been getting these bagels for several years. I enjoy them, but I find them a bit tasteless...my family agrees that no matter which flavor you buy, they all taste pretty much like a plain bagel (I fix that by adding garlic salt, or cinnamon, etc). One thing I noticed with my most recent purchase is that they are a LOT smaller than they used to be. More like 'bagelettes' these days. I still like them.

-
July 01, 2020Reviewer: Amy in California* I've tried a few of these flavors. The garlic butter bagels are great for making garlic bread. The additional butter and garlic spread on them helps combat the slight dryness of the bagel, and makes them a 5-star product for sure. The cinnamon and pumpkin spice are also pretty good, but they can be a little dry. Butter or cream cheese will fix that, but just jam alone is not quite enough, IMO. Pretty darn good, though, especially for keto!
-
June 22, 2020Reviewer: Tina in Arkansas* They look like bagels but don't have the flavor or texture reminiscent of a bagel. I've been making and buying low-carb foods for years so I know not to expect low carb foods to be the same as the high carb versions. They're in the freezer now but I'm sure we'll eventually eat them just so they don't go to waste. Still, there are other good low-carb foods I buy from Netrition that really do taste good. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

June 19, 2020Reviewer: A guest* These bagels had no flavor. it was like eating bland dough. Sorry, but that is just the truth. I felt it would be improper or in poor taste (no pun intended) to return them. After all they are bagels that need to be frozen! I will use them for duck food. Sorry.

1 of 2 people found the following review helpfulJune 06, 2020Reviewer: Carla in New York* I was a little disappointed in this because it didn't smell very oniony. The texture is still not how I like my bagels to be but it's definitely edible and not the worst I've ever had. Like others have mentioned, you have to lightly toast it or it'll be rock hard. I also added some onion powder to it to help the flavor. This review is specific to Bagels, Onion

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulMay 26, 2020Reviewer: Willy in Maryland* We bought the sesame bagels from the Great Low Carb Bread Company for almost 3 years, on a regular basis, and, in the past, we were happy with the product. last time we purchased, the bagels were much worse than the previous time:
1. The taste was change, much worse. 2. The bagels were not baked enough, and toasting would not compensate for the lack of initial baking time. 3. Even though the label said sesame, there were virtually no sesame seeds on them.
Overall, we were very, very disappointed with this product last time we ordered it earlier this month.
Please forward these comments to the manufacturer. We hope that they will take the necessary measures to ensure quality control and bring back the good quality product we were used to buy.
Thank you,
Willy

May 19, 2020Reviewer: Stacy in New York* I added butter and cream cheese since I'm on keto and felt like I was eating a real high carb bagel. There wasn't any funky aftertaste like some keto breads. I highly recommend them. I put them in the microwave defrost 10 seconds and toast. Yum Yum.This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

May 17, 2020Reviewer: A guest* I really wanted to like these, but they were rock hard when toasted. They looked like a bagel and had a similar outer feel and texture, but were too hard to enjoy. I actually think they might work for other uses though - and I plan to toast or broil them and use as keto breadcrumbs or for croutons in soup. The flavor wasn't bad, but the texture wasn't what I hoped for as a bagel. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

May 10, 2020Reviewer: A guest* I just love my bagels with cream cheese. These are soon good just be careful toasting them they don't do well with more then a lite toast I also find 30 sec, in the microwave makes them soft and warm...TASTY oh, and for you diabetics out there I can eat two of them for breakfast and not kill my carb count or diet!!

March 15, 2020Reviewer: A customer in Maine* Do not expect these to have the denseness of a regular bagel. It also does not have the carb count of a regular bagel. If you are craving a bagel. March 07, 2020Reviewer: Selma in Arizona* I had the everything bagel. I thought it was pretty fantastic! The outside of the bagel toasted so nicely and crispy. I like to make a breakfast sandwich with cream cheese and bacon on the savory flavors; and I love putting the Legendary Foods Blueberry Cinnamon Almond Butter on the sweet ones - so good!

January 28, 2020Reviewer: A guest* These were the worst low carb product I have ever eaten! They taste just like what I imagine cardboard to taste like. They were completely flavor free. I ordered them because I am on Weight Watchers and they were a 2 point Bagel. I was not expecting them to taste like a Bagel Store bagel, however they made Lenders frozen bagels taste like gourmet! June 14, 2019Reviewer: Gina in New York* One of the better bagels out there! Not a perfect 5 due to the fact if you toast, they will be hard. I will lightly toast, enough to warm or cut in half and grill the inside in a frying pan with butter, both methods work best.

April 23, 2019Reviewer: Paola in Florida* I've tried other low carb bread products so I had realistic expectations that these weren't going to be like real bagels but perhaps close enough. DON'T even waste your time on these bagels. The cinnamon ones have no cinnamon flavor and they are very dry and cardboard tasting. No amount of cream cheese made these better. Toasting them makes them extra cardboard-y. Overall, they were just a giant disappointment. And they're too expensive to be this disappointing. This review is specific to Bagels, Cinnamon

April 15, 2019Reviewer: Kathy in Ohio* As you would expect they don’t have the same flavor as a normal bagel but if you put butter on them and put a little bit of salt in the palm of your hand then pinch it with your fingers and sprinkle it on the better lightly they are delicious. March 31, 2019Reviewer: Wayne in Maryland* Be thankful these things exist. Let's compare them to the real bagels we all munched so ravenously over the years. They are about 75% the size of real bagel, but, after all, their purpose is only to deliver Cream Cheese with the minimal carb count due to the "bagel". So if you are looking for the finest true bagel taste and texture, these don't have it, but they are close enough. They do not want to toast, but they get a crispy surface that is textually correct. The flavor is ... how do I explain a flavor...without any objectionable overtones, and perhaps a bit like grain. Kinda dry and chewy. But when used to deliver cream cheese or other KETO lovelies, they really get the job done with no guilt whatsoever. This review is specific to Bagels, Sesame

March 17, 2019Reviewer: Crystal in New York* The only bagels I ate on their own before switching to a Keto were usually sweet ones (cinnamon raisin, blueberry, or cherry vanilla), toasted, with butter. I was never a fan of a regular (savory) bagel with cream cheese or butter, so, I can understand why there are negative reviews, as I don’t think I would have liked the product if that’s what I was trying to replace. These are on the dryer side to begin with and overtoasting or eating untoasted would probably be unpleasant.
That being said, I do LOVE these bagels. I lightly (and I mean LIGHTLY) toast them, usually in the oven under broil for maybe a minute or so (watch/check closely), and then I load the bagel with a cheese slice, a fried egg, and some breakfast sausage patties.
Using them how I do, I find them well worth the money, and the taste is good. It’s SO hard to find good bread substitutes, but I am beyond happy with this product. It’s filling too, because I can barely eat the whole bagel with the other items. I haven’t tried making a breakfast bagel and reheating it at work, but I assume that may dry it out too much, so likely best to prepare and eat.

March 17, 2019Reviewer: Melinda in Oregon* I ordered the everything bagels and there is hardly anything on them so that’s disappointing. And then you have to slice them in half because they are not pre-cut and the last little bits fall off. For how much they cost, they should be loaded with topping like regular bagels are that cost 1/8 what these do. Just get the plain bagels if you are ordering. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

March 15, 2019Reviewer: Reed in Washington* Pretty greasy for some reason. The garlic butter seems to be a spray and they didn't taste of garlic at all. I would skip the garlic butter and go for something like the Everything version, which was pretty good. Pretty decent. They're extremely dry and pretty flavorless, but that is what makes it a bagel. Good enough to substitute real bagels with and go low-carb.This review is specific to Bagels, Garlic Butter

March 05, 2019Reviewer: Heather in Ohio* I ordered the cinnamon flavored and it really wasnt much cinnamon taste to it. HOWEVER it was soooooo nice to have a tolerable "bread substitute" when I have not been eating breads for a long time now. I toasted my bagel and spread organic all natural peanutbutter on it and WOW! The texture is a little grainy, but over all I would order this product again. For 3 net carbs its worth having something to nosh on for breakfast or an afternoon snack if you want it.This review is specific to Bagels, Cinnamon

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulMarch 04, 2019Reviewer: A guest* I know this sounds counter-intuitive for something I am rating a 3, but you can't eat these bagels like they were bagels. They're dry, hard, and have a terrible tree-bark like consistency when they're toasted, or eaten without toasting. I got through half of one once with a lot of butter, then threw the rest away.
However, they can be cut up and toasted into a really nice quantity of bagel chips for 2 net carbs, with some olive oil, salt and garlic, and if you're into dips or cheese spreads the chips really good for that. I used one as a crust for bagel pizzas as well, and while that wasn't great, the sauce soaked away most of the really harsh dryness, and made them edible.
If you're looking for a bread/bagel substitute, I recommend giving these a pass. If you are looking to make low carb bagel chips, these work really well for that.

February 27, 2019Reviewer: A customer in North Carolina* Delicious flavor, the biggest drawback is the toppings fall off when you try to cut them. The bagels are a little dry with toasting, so I have to be careful not to over toast. I am not really a bread person, but this does quench those bagel cravings that crop up sometimes. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpfulFebruary 10, 2019Reviewer: A guest* I'm glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews about these bagels. I'm very happy with my purchase, an excellent product for my diabetes control regimen!! They had just the right amount of "chew" to them, as close to a high-carb bagel as I've ever gotten. I toasted them - lightly on setting 2 in my toaster, and they were NOT difficult to chew, they were delicious!! Best of all, in a test of their effect on my blood sugar: I took a glucose reading, ate a bagel, waited 1 1/2 hours and then took another glucose reading....it went up ONE point. I'm keeping these bagels on hand all the time as a snack with 1 of them and occasional meal replacement with 2 of them......

December 03, 2018Reviewer: Julia in California* These and the other breads in the low carb baking company feel when they arrive like they will have the texture and chew of bread- it is untrue. The bagels toast but are basically air and need a LOT of butter or topping and are skimped out on toppings or flavorings. I found with the bread rolls and the bagels they are saw dusty afterwards- you need a lot of butter or mayo or cream cheese or it’s hard to swallow and leaves a dry taste in your mouth. I find the bagels and bread ok as a way to deliver something in to your mouth like sandwich fillings or bagel toppings, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say this satisfied any bread craving. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

I LOVE bread. And I could eat bagels every day for breakfast, literally. I've been doing the low carb thing for a while and was having issues with the no-bread thing. These aren't absolutely perfect imitations of bagels but they are pretty darn close. Add low carb bacon cream cheese spread and you are good to go. Without spread they do get very dry and are hard to swallow. And if you toast them you have to eat them immediately after because they will turn hard as a brick. You have been warned. But other than that they are pretty good. I am going to buy these for months and months to come.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulOctober 12, 2018Reviewer: James in Pennsylvania* These bagels are a lifesaver for those of us who grew up eating New York bagels. They satisfy and work particularly well when topped with a smear. No they will not make you forget the gluten wonder of fresh bagels. They do not toast particularly well. Due to the oatfiber they are very filling and if not properly prepared can remind the consumer of cardboard. Oak fiber truly acts like a sponge and absorbs moisture. Bagels with strong flavors like onion I find more enjoyable. Life hack: do not toast put them under the broiler instead. Brown one side to get that toast flavor while maintaining the moisture in the baked good. These products are a godsend that really help those of us living on low-carb low glycemic diets. They are high fiber which is great for cholesterol levels and keeping everything functioning well. This review is specific to Bagels, Onion

September 29, 2018Reviewer: A guest* I don’t know how they made these 1 carb bagels as good as they are! I mean, they’re not a whole lot like the an authentic, chewy New York bagel, but they’re pretty darn good! Definitely worth a try. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpfulSeptember 28, 2018Reviewer: Rosemary in Florida* If there were a rating of '0', That would have been my choice. I ordered the Rye and the Pumpernickel flavors. Both were like biting into a thick piece of cardboard. They were full looking, but tasted terrible. Will not ever buy a product from this company again and would advise others not to waste their hard earned money on these.

September 06, 2018Reviewer: Joachim in Texas* Great bread !!! Taste like Bagels ! The pumpernickel is to die for !!! August 10, 2018Reviewer: Aisha in South Carolina* Oh man. I am so off this recreating favorites into low carb wanna be miracles. Done. All of these bagels taste exactly the same. The cinnamon, the everything, the "multigrain"--folks they all taste the same. There is the slightest hint of the everything and cinnamon in these, but it is so minimal--they all taste exactly the same.
The breakdown--they all taste like spongy cardboard. They toast like anything can, BUT they do not do well with just cream cheese, peanut butter or some other spread. I then decided to use these for breakfast sandwiches and that is where they are useful.
I have used substitutes for favorites that contain flour for at least 2 years now, and my tastes have adapted to the substitutions. The almond flour and coconut flour waffles or pancakes, or the garbanzo bean flatbread--my tastes have truly adjusted to them all and I can say I actually enjoy them, but not these. Enjoy your favorites on occasion and in moderation. If you eat well and exercise, you can enjoy a regular bagel on occasion without panicking. Investing $8 in 6 spongy cardboard diskettes doesnt make much sense and I regret the decision.
As far as shipping, I was called by Netrition to ask if I want to spend $4 on shipping with an ice pack. I live in the south and its blazing hot right now, so I agreed. When the package arrived, Fedex sat it in front at my door. By the time I got home, the ice packs were warm and of no use, and of course so were the bagels. The funny part about it is the notice I received IN the box. Not in an email or on top fo the box for the driver or something I read on this website. The notice said to not sit this box out in direct sunlight. This notice was IN the box that was delivered to my front door and sat outside in the sun. Huh? Dont recommend. Go enjoy a real bagel on occasion for gosh sakes.

July 29, 2018Reviewer: Tabitha in Delaware* These were pretty good with cream cheese on them. I think they could use some more cinnamon flavor so maybe I'll try putting cinnamon and some swerve in my cream cheese to get that extra flavor or butter and cinnamon and swerve on top (toasted). July 20, 2018Reviewer: Melissa in Maryland* These are not regular bagels so they don't have the exact same texture/taste as a regular bagel. With that being said, we love these. We usually get the pumpernickel and everything bagels. Lightly toasted with a schmeer of cream cheese and some breakfast meat and it's a great low-carb substitute for a breakfast sandwich. We only eat 1/2 a bagel at a time so even better. They can get dry if toasted too long so very little toasting or just pop them in the microwave for a few seconds to soften them a bit. Netrition has the best prices on these that I've found! This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulJuly 04, 2018Reviewer: Stephanie in New Jersey* I have a very high tolerance for typical low carb products. Products that others might find dry and gritty usually taste fine to me. So it really means something when I say that these are the driest, chewiest, grittiest, strangest tasting baked goods I have ever eaten. I cannot fathom how so many people liked these. Their rating is baffling. They are literally borderline inedible.

May 28, 2018Reviewer: Cathy in Tennessee* This is about as close as you can get to the real thing. Toast it up, slather it with your choice of butter, cream cheese or whatever and you can live like normal people. I eat one most every day and it doesn't stall my keto progress. The fiber helps me too because it is hard to get fiber on this diet. Be sure you buy the higher calorie ones, I don't recommend the 65 calorie ones, they are too airy. All flavors are great!

April 14, 2018Reviewer: Alan in California* The bread from this company is excellent. Note that in winter months, it's a little lighter and fluffier because they don't have to add enzymes that toughen it (to prevent molding during warm-weather shipping).
Here's a tip to make it even softer: Spread a thin layer of butter on it and toast it lightly on a tray in the toaster oven.

April 06, 2018Reviewer: A customer in California* Something changed with these bagels - they are now inedible, even when toasted and slathered with cream cheese. They used to be great. I ordered 3 packages (cinnamon, everything), but they turned out to be spongy and tough and so awful that I had to spit it out. No flavoring could possibly overcome the unbearable texture. I threw out all the packages. So sad, these used to be so good!

January 19, 2018Reviewer: A guest* As long as you do not toast them to the point that they brown up, they are reasonably good. If you toast them too dark, they emit this terrible odor, and I also noticed it coming from the sourdough bread I also ordered. They will toast up pretty good without browning and you really have to leave them in a long time to get them browned, so just go with the lightly toasted version. It must be some kind of chemical change brought on by the browning process. They were great with cream cheese and smoke salmon! Also made a chicken salad sandwich with swiss and wasabi mayonnaise that was awesome. This review is specific to Bagels, Garlic Butter

September 30, 2017Reviewer: A guest* You are asking for a lot to have bagels taste like bagels, but these do come pretty close. They are a little chewy and take a little bit to get used to, but the cinnamon is great and and they work great in the toaster. Would you fool someone with them being normal bagels? No. But, for 14g protein and only 2 net carbs, this alternative is ideal. This review is specific to Bagels, Cinnamon

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulSeptember 27, 2017Reviewer: Christine in Oregon* I decided to try these based on the great reviews, but I should have known better. When you're not eating bread and craving it so bad I think you're willing to try almost anything. These bagels are not terrible, and I wasn't fooling myself thinking they would actually taste like bagels, but I think I'd rather skip it. The texture is weird, kind of fluffy? The flavor is a little off for me, too. I tried with butter, almond butter and smoked salmon schmear, which was the most successful attempt, but just too weird for me. I actually think they might make good "garlic bread." If you are desperately craving bagels or bread and don't have the expectation that these will resemble either, give them a try. This review is specific to Bagels, Multigrain

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulSeptember 14, 2017Reviewer: A guest* These bagels are quite good. I'm eating less carbs, but desperately missing the occasional bagel. At 2 net carbs, this is a WINNER!
As per the instructions, I LIGHTLY toasted the bagel. Said toasting is KEY, so don't skip this step.
Look, there isn't a low carb bagel on the planet that will replace a high-end water bagel. But this low-carb bagel has great flavor and darn good consistency. I will purchase these again and again.
Don't hesitate to give them a try.

September 09, 2017Reviewer: Walter in Alabama* I split a bagel with my wife. We lightly toasted the halves and spread the "schmear" (cream cheese). They were wonderful, chewy and tasty. They aren't fresh-baked NYC bagels and one can tell there is quite a bit of fiber but they are hands-down the best lo-carb option I have found and it seems over the past 17 yrs. I've tried them all. This review is specific to Bagels, Garlic Butter

August 30, 2017Reviewer: Sherri in Canada* I love the Great Low Carb Bread Company's bread and bagel products. They don't taste like cardboard like some other brands. I use the everything bagels for hamburger buns and the plain or rye bagels to have toasted with cream cheese. I use their low carb bread to make sandwiches, grilled cheese or just peanut butter on toast. It's hard to go to any other brand once you have had their low carb bread.
-
August 23, 2017Reviewer: Linda in New York* A piece of dough with a hole in it, but it sure ain't a bagel. The cinnamon are actually vile, with a terrible undertaste. I've had decent lo-carb bagels in the past but can't remember the name of the company that's now out of business. These are, even when toasted, inedible. Tossed the rest in the trash. This review is specific to Bagels, Cinnamon

August 22, 2017Reviewer: Katherine in Maryland* I am on a special keto/low carb diet. These bagels have been a lifesaver! They are extremely low carb and taste great. I particularly like the "everything" flavor. I have tried other brands, but this is my favorite. Be sure to put them in the freezer and use as you need it. August 19, 2017Reviewer: Elisabeth in Missouri* These are definitely my favorite low carb bagels. They are also my favorite product of the Great Low carb Bread Company. I eat between two and four of them every day. They have never put my blood sugar over the level at which I try to keep it, and they satisfy my craving for bread better than any other product. For some time we baked our own low carb bread, but I found I actually prefer this product. The cost is high, but in my view not prohibitive. I rate the bagels 4 not five only because they still a bit more rubbery than I would prefer - but I have found nothing better in the low carb category. This review is specific to Bagels, Sesame

March 30, 2017Reviewer: Teleia in Arizona* Really great for low carb! They mimic the exact texture of regular bagels. I prefer them un-toasted, if toasted for two long they become very hard. March 19, 2017Reviewer: Amy in West Virginia* I love bagels and when I found out I was diabetic I pretty much stopped eating them (on a few occasions I would cheat and eat half a regular bagel I paid for it with very high blood sugar levels). Even though these bagels are very expensive I still took a chance and ordered the pumpkin spice. This morning I took one out of the freezer let it set out for about 15 minutes, they were thawed by then so I cut it in half, toasted it in my toaster until about a medium toast. Added lots of cream cheese and oh my gosh...DELICIOUS!!!! The pumpkin spice is barely noticeable, but there was a very slight sweetness to them that I liked. In spite of the high price on this product, I am going back to order 3 more packages!!!!!

February 20, 2017Reviewer: MELVA* I am on the Keto Diet and the one thing I have missed is bread. Not any longer. These bagels are amazing. The one thing to avoid is over toasting it. Even so, it comes pretty close to making you believe it is the real deal. Honestly they are good. I have purchased the sesame, plain and everything. Recently ordered the pumpernickel but have not tried it yet, however if it is like the ones I have purchased, it will be great.
The bread is also great for those mornings you want a piece of toast with your eggs.

0 of 1 people found the following review helpfulJanuary 31, 2017Reviewer: A guest* The bagels are a lot smaller than regular bakery bagels. They have a rubbery cardboard texture instead of a bread texture. But the worst thing is they are tasteless. The "everything" topping is scant and just falls off. Also, I cannot slice them in my bagel slicer...it just squishes them. I must use a serrated knife. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulJanuary 18, 2017Reviewer: A customer in Maryland* I can rarely find an acceptable low-carb bread product. These bagels exceeded my expectations. They lack the denseness of real bagels and are not quite as chewy, but overall, they have a nice texture and flavor. I also like the size - not too big and not too small. You have to be careful not to overtoast them, or they will turn into hockey pucks. However, if you hate pork rinds as much as I do, you can overtoast these bagels and then run them through a food processor to make acceptable "bread" crumbs. My favorite flavor is the garlic butter, followed by pumpernickel.
-
January 11, 2017Reviewer: Marie in Maryland* I purchased the onion bagels. They are better than expected and taste better than they look. The pumpkin spice were just a little bit better and did ok with A LOT of cream cheese.

October 14, 2016Reviewer: Christine in Arizona* After reading about these bagels on a blog I decided to try them for myself. I had been following a low carb program for some time with excellent results but the lure of bread/bagels/pasta became too much for me and I quit....which a mistake! Anyway, I tried for quite a while to get back on to the program but kept failing....until I found these terrific bagels! With only 2 net carbs per bagel they are the perfect solution to my problem. AND they taste terrific as well. Just lightly toast and add whatever toppings you prefer. I tried the Everything, Sesame, and the Garlic Butter....all were terrific. Now I am back for more. Ordering a large amount & will put them in the freezer so that I won't ever be tempted to eat "regular" bread/bagels again! Don't hesitate to purchase some of them. A bit expensive, but so very worth every penny.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulJune 22, 2016Reviewer: A customer in California* 5 of the 6 (Everything) bagels arrived with mold on them. This, despite the thermal packaging. I did consider the quicker service, but the price was prohibitive ($56 for 2 day shipping? really?). Even buying a bag of fresh bagels, I would expect them to be fine sitting on the counter for 6 days. These left the warehouse frozen, and protected at least a little by the thermal packaging I paid extra for, so I would expect them to at least be edible when they arrived 6 days later. This is a problem with the shipping, I believe, rather than the product itself, but honestly, I don't know that.
Editor's note: It is imperative that the customer select a shipping method of 3 days or less with the Great Low Carb Breads, especially in the Summer months. There are no preservatives added and the breads will often mold within 5 days at warm temperatures.

May 15, 2016Reviewer: Kristen in Colorado* Loooove these sesame bagels. I have even used them as a hamburger bun. Love the size & texture. I should really try other flavors but am so satisfied with the sesame- it's hard to change it up!

May 15, 2016Reviewer: Tami in Ohio* I absolutely love these bagels. I have ordered them many times. Are they exactly like the high carb store bought bagels...NO. But they aren't bad. They have given me the chance to eat bagels for breakfast again! I like to toast them lightly and make a sammie with an egg, a turkey breakfast sausage patty and a slice of cheese. In my opinion, $8 is pricey for 6 bagels, but as I said previously, I have ordered them many times. I am thrilled to have bread/bagels in my diet again. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

0 of 1 people found the following review helpfulMay 14, 2016Reviewer: Christine in Maine* A nice chewy bagel that doesn't spike my blood sugar. Tried the Plain ones first, and found a slightly odd bitter-ish taste (which I don't find in the bread, so it's something specific to their bagel recipe). Not a terrible taste, but very noticeable. Tried the cinnamon ones next, and the cinnamon flavor masks that odd taste a little. Found that cream cheese seems to bring out that bitterness more (disappointing!), but they taste great with butter. Haven't tried any of the stronger flavors.

May 11, 2016Reviewer: Samuel in North Carolina* I was excited to read all the positive reviews for these bagels. Being used to real bagels from NY maybe that's why they tasted like cardboard. The only thing I tasted was the onions that mostly fell off leaving the cardboard. Same thing with the everything bagels. I guess when you're desperate for a bagel, you'll try anything. This review is specific to Bagels, Onion

April 19, 2016Reviewer: Michael in Florida* The bagels are good, but the everything bagels didnt have a lot of flavor in my opinion. I'm gonna try the onion flavor next. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

April 07, 2016Reviewer: Jan in Ohio* Boy, do I miss bread on a low carb diet. There are many substitutes- some better than others. These bagels are great toasted with your favorite low carb spread if you're missing bagels. Do they taste like real deli bagels?? No, but they're pretty close, toast up nicely and satisfy that craving with breakfast or your coffee. I have only tried the plain (sesame) ones because I want to put jams on them. This review is specific to Bagels, Sesame

March 31, 2016Reviewer: Diane in New Jersey* I find that all the bagels from this company are very good, with the exception of the plain, low fat. They had a very off taste and texture. Especially toasted, the sesame, everything, Multigrain bagels are excellent giving you a satisfied feeling. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five is because I think the seeded bagels could use a little more seeds to add to the flavor.
-
March 28, 2016Reviewer: Lori in North Dakota* I purchased the Pumpkin Spice and the Cinnamon and both were very good. Mild flavoring so I added Cinnamon to my cream cheese spread I made as well as pumpkin spice to that cream cheese spread. Tasted both and pigged out! Not as condensed and chewy as the high carb bagels but equally as good. We did use them with a sausage patty, cheese and an egg one morning and that was very very good. The flavor of the bagel did not interfere with the overall taste. Will purchase them again!

March 26, 2016Reviewer: Jennifer in New York* This is the best bread ever, I never now feel like I am missing anything in life, staying on my lowcarb diet. I bring the bread with me to restaurants, and have them make the sandwich directly on the bread. Or have them toast it and add cream cheese. I feel empowered by this bread! Thank you

February 03, 2016Reviewer: Liam in New Jersey* I didn't expect these bagels to be as good as they were. I chose the Everything flavor and I would say they skimped out on the everythings, but it was still pretty close to the carby bagels I used to love. Melted butter seems to go right through the bagel to your hands and the plate. Cream Cheese is spectacular with these toasted or not. December 25, 2015Reviewer: Marla in Ohio* Having been low carbing for 6 months now, I have been missing bread terribly. Somebody recommended these to me and I got them for Christmas and I was not disappointed! Not as dense as a "normal" bagels but very good and excellent with lox and cream cheese!! Just bought 2 more bags. No negative effect on my blood sugar either!!

December 13, 2015Reviewer: A customer in Ohio* The ONLY problem with this product is the manufacturer's packaging. Some things, whether bread or bagles, come stale. Within the same order, a couple of things might be fresh and a couple are stale. You can kind of "revive" them by defrosting, wrapped in a damp paper towel in a really good quality (airtight - unlike the manufacturer's packaging) freezer bag, and letting it sit on the counter overnight.
I want to emphasize, this is NOT a Netrition packaging problem. I checked it out by ordering from the company itself, in between Netrition orders. The plastic bag with a twist-tie chosen by the Great Low Carb Bread Company is not reliable.
When you do get a fresh loaf or batch of bagles, this is a really good product. Good taste, good texture, toasts up nice, and no impact on my blood glucose levels. Hope they upgrade to something airtight in the future.
-
November 07, 2015Reviewer: A customer in Texas* I like the pumpernickel version but I often try different types. Warm in microwave for ten seconds and the bagels are soft and a bit on the chewy side, which I like. I am not a "bread" person but do like a bagel now and then. I have been obtaining these bagels from Netrition.com for a couple of years now. They are one of the items I order every time. Recommended.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulAugust 21, 2015Reviewer: Paulina in Missouri* I wasn't a big bread eater before I was on keto, but I did eat bread at times because sometimes you just want to eat a sandwich. I bought the Cinnamon and Everything bagels and have tried both. I waited MONTHS before I got this bread because I was... hesitant, I shouldnt've waited so long.
The everything bagels have a very subtle flavor and the cinnamon ones do as well, which is great for breakfast. The texture of these bagels is EXACTLY like the texture of regular bagels. I don't know what kind of monster mutant bagels other people had, but these bagels are literally "bagel-sized", I don't think someone would be able to differentiate between this bagel and a regular carby bagel. People that know what diet I'm on smirk and ask me if I "fell of the wagon", and they are very surprised to find out that these bagels are LC, and I'm still on a diet!
I thaw mine in the microwave for 30 seconds before I eat them in the morning with some cream cheese, and Walden Farms spread. I don't have a toaster and they still taste great, so maybe once I get a toaster they will be like the manna of life.
I ordered these with the "regular" UPS shipping ($5.99) but added the thermal packaging. They took three business days to get to me and they were not spoiled. Keep in mind it's August and it still gets pretty warm (especially in those UPS trucks), so if that's whats preventing you from buying them, I'd say just buy them.
I can't believe I can have BREAD again.

August 16, 2015Reviewer: A customer in Massachusetts* The Netrition reviews say it all: these bagels are awesome. The "everything" flavor is very subtle, so they're not super flavorful in that regard - but the texture is excellent and the taste of the bagel is delicious. I am so happy to be able to eat a bagel while maintaining a low carb diet - the Great Low Carb Bread Co is freakin great.
Will be ordering more flavors...in bulk...forever.
Pricey at $8 for 6 bagels, though. But, 2 carbs? So worth it...

4 of 4 people found the following review helpfulJuly 01, 2015Reviewer: Patricia in Wisconsin* These are by far the best Low Carb bagels I have ever had - - in fact, they rival any regular bagels that I have had during my life - - including a weekly morning delivery when I lived in The Bronx, NY.... They have the crusty, bready taste and texture that make bagels what they are - - they soak up the butter and are good with cream cheese, peanut butter and anything else that I add to them... Especially good lox, cream cheese, some thin sliced tomato and onion and a bit of salt and pepper... Heavenly... I have already ordered these 4 times - - - they are THAT good....
-
June 15, 2015Reviewer: Christopher in Maryland* Basically, these are a decent substitute for traditional bagels. They have a similar texture and taste to regular bagels. Regarding size, they are similar to grocery store frozen bagels--they are not jumbo sized like ones you'd get at the grocery store or at a bagel place. While you won't confuse them for the high-carb original, know that I am a repeat buyer and they have been consistent each time. Recommended. This review is specific to Bagels, Onion

May 18, 2015Reviewer: linda in California* This is an updated review for me. When I first ordered the bagels I was thrilled. Now it has been about a year and I have a freezer full of all their breads and I am not into it much. I like the pumpkin spice bread with PB and low sugar jam, and the rye bread does make a good grilled cheese, all the normal sliced breads work for sure but I got rid of the rolls, they were like overload of the bread and of the strange chewy cardboard feeling I get now when eating this bread. It is almost like a squeaky feeling when I am chewing. I find I am not wanting to eat the bread much anymore. I notice now there is a slight funky aftertaste that I do not like. Do not order the 65 calorie version of the bagels because those really have the cardboard chewy thing going on. I used those when I was on the HCG diet and it was better than nothing breadlike. I still recommend this product as it is the best most breadlike I have found, next to Joseph's Pita's, (which also have a funky aftertaste, especially if you do not toast them. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

April 18, 2015Reviewer: Kelli in Washington* These are not the greatest tasting bagel out there. They are small and hard but when you are really, really craving a nice piece of bread with your breakfast and you put lots of cream cheese on them, they work. I think the onion are best. The cinnamon was not too bad with lots of butter. The plain are not very good. I got these to use as bread for sandwiches but found they were too tough. This review is specific to Bagels, Onion

April 16, 2015Reviewer: Erica in New Hampshire* I always have a package (or a few packages!) of these in my freezer! I take one out, thaw for 15 seconds in the microwave then slice and toast! These are delicious with cream cheese or for a breakfast sandwich! I've even toasted before heading out the door hit a drive through on our way out of town and ordered a breakfast sandwich without the bread then put on my bagel. April 06, 2015Reviewer: Peggy in Wisconsin* Delicious AND lo-carb? These bagels are very tasty and I remain in ketosis eating them. I love to put sliced cheddar cheese on the bagels and broil them in a toaster oven. Mmmmm. Also great toasted and topped with a little thin-sliced ham, a fried egg and a small sprinkle of cheese. And all the while, it's not causing all the unpleasant side effects from eating standard bread. Only complaint if the price - if the company continues to have such loyal customers, it is my hope they will reduce the price somewhat as they gain success! This review is specific to Bagels, Multigrain

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulFebruary 23, 2015Reviewer: Linda in North Carolina* Eating low carb is not easy for me. I bought these bagels based on the reviews here. I ordered them, excited to think I could actually eat a BAGEL again??? As I waited for them to arrive, I again read the reviews and thought, well, they will probably stink, but what's done is done. They came, and let me tell you----to me, they are WONDERFUL. I am a picky bagel eater---and just looking at them before trying them, I thought, eh. They look skinny and yes, the hole is a bit on the big side, but my gosh, they taste so delicious! I do agree they can be dry. I toast mine lightly, put lots of butter on them (both for flavor and to add some moisture) and lots of cream cheese. Fantastic. I bought both the everything (fantastic) and the multigrain (pretty good, not as tasty as the everything, but great for making pizza bagels, tuna melts, etc). If you are unsure, do what I did ---- buy 1 package and then see what you think. I am ordering 6 more packages right now. Only bad thing about them is the price---but my health is more important. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

February 19, 2015Reviewer: Karen in Nebraska* This review is for the pumpkin bagels which I see were discontinued by the manufacturer. They were a bit sweet and had some flavor, unlike the other varieties I tried. These products have great texture for a low carb bread, but they lack flavor, very flat and tasteless. I'm sure they can improve on this. So sad they discontinued the best of the lot. This review is specific to Bagels, Pumpkin Spice

February 13, 2015Reviewer: robin in West Virginia* These everything bagels were the first thing I tried when I got my order. I had to toast a little longer to get it as crispy as I liked, but it toasted up pretty well and was very tasty. The texture isn't EXACTLY what you're used to, but it's still pretty close and is a nice option to have around if you're craving bagels or something bready. The price is a little high, but well worth it as a once in a while treat. February 06, 2015Reviewer: Maleet in New Jersey* I absolutely LOVE these bagels! They are a bit chewy and dry compared to real bagels but that does not bother me. I have found that wrapping with a damp paper towel and then heating in the microwave helps keep it from drying out.
I make pizza bagels with these quite often although plain cream cheese is great too. Sometimes I use it as bread if I happen to run out of low carb bread.
I have yet to be disappointed by this company and their products.

January 28, 2015Reviewer: Julianne in Oregon* I bought the cinnamon and pumpkin bagels. I've only tried the cinnamon so far, and didn't care for them. The sweetness tastes like the synthetic sugar substitute sweetness (complete with aftertaste) as opposed to actual cinnamon. I'm not holding out a lot of hope for the pumpkin. One of the flavors not intended to be sweet would probably be better (texture is fine). This company makes great hotdog buns and pizza crusts. I just don't like the sugar substitute flavor. This review is specific to Bagels, Cinnamon

October 25, 2014Reviewer: Anita in Virginia* These make great french toast and sandwiches. I make the sandwiches while the bagels are frozen and they are perfect by lunchtime. The best bagels I have found for a low carb lifestyle!

October 23, 2014Reviewer: matthew in New York* Coming from NYC I am a bit of a bagel snob, but that being said, they are certainly a great addition to my breakfast!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpfulOctober 19, 2014Reviewer: JOEL in New York* Mine as well order the plain as the flavors on the Bagel ( whether it be the onion flakes, everything, sesame etc.) will all end up in the bag or on your table as they do not stay on the bagel at all. I tend to order the everything (which end up plain after cutting) and they do taste very good. All the great low carb bread company products are great.

October 14, 2014Reviewer: Morgan in Tennessee* I was hopeful based on many early reviews (you never know the source of all reviews). Sesame seeds were mostly in the bag and not so much on the bagels. Toasting makes them more stiff-chewy instead of crusty but does help with giving them some flavor. Ok with butter and cream cheese. Also received pumpkin spice that I have not tried yet.
Think I would rather stick to egg, bacon, cheese sandwich on the low carb bread. The bread and burger buns seem like better choices to me.

September 27, 2014Reviewer: Amber in Texas* The onion bagels are absolutely to die for, though the onion part tends to flake off during cutting. They are a tad dry, but I pop them in the toaster oven with butter on them while the outside toasts and it definitely helps cut through the dryness a lot. This review is specific to Bagels, Onion

September 06, 2014Reviewer: Christine in South Carolina* I now eat these bagels every day. Not exaggerating, I just don't want to imagine my (eating) life without them. They are such a staple of my diet. Breakfast every morning and sometimes lunch or snack, too. I am on Stage 1 of Atkins, counting these bagels as they are labelled, toward my 20 carbs/day, and they do NOT mess up Ketosis, so the carbs must be very close to what the company claims. I haven't eaten real bagels for years, I'll admit, so can't compare. But these are chewy and great mild taste. Love them!!!

September 01, 2014Reviewer: MARY in Indiana* These Everything bagels are really close to the "real thing." The are visually and texturally identical to normal bagels. They are only about 1/2 the volume, but more than twice the price. I tried them toasted and untoasted, with cream cheese or butter or pesto. Very good taste. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

August 29, 2014Reviewer: Jennifer in Ohio* I can't believe it took me so long to find a truly low carb bread! The cinnamon bagels were great! Not a strong cinnamon taste, but there definitely was some in there. I toasted and ate plain with butter or added cream cheese. Delicious!! Froze nicely. I just added some GLCBC bread to my recent order and look forward to grilled cheese and french toast again! This review is specific to Bagels, Cinnamon

July 09, 2014Reviewer: Derry in Nevada* Very good. A bit different texture than regular bagels (not as chewy), but they toast up and taste very good. They are a little smaller that normal bagels, but still good sized. I like to toast one up sliced with butter to dip in my over-easy eggs or spread with cream cheese.

June 24, 2014Reviewer: Amanda in Minnesota* I tried these cold with cream cheese and warm with butter, both ways were tasty. I do not however care for the texture of these? Kind of grainy, even toasted. This review is specific to Bagels, Cinnamon

June 23, 2014Reviewer: Amanda in Minnesota* I got to eat a bagel!! And it wasn't thin or like cardboard or miniature sized or anything! It was how it should be, like a normal bagel. There was something "off" about it I can't quite place, texture and taste were good, but still something that makes it so you can tell it is a lowcarb item. Nothing worth not giving them a try though. Ate it cold with cream cheese, excited to try them toasted with butter.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpfulMay 30, 2014Reviewer: A customer in Ohio* I have by now tried ALL the bagel flavors that GLCB Co. has, and I like them ALL! Direct from the freezer to 15-20 sec. in the microwave, slice with a bread knife (carefully!!), then pop the two slices into the toaster. Depending on the flavor of the bagel, spread with either butter and jam (Polaner's - Netrition), or just 2T. plain whipped cream cheese. OMG!! SO GOOD!!
I like to fix my favorite Green Smoothie with this: [almond milk, cocoa nibs (optional), HW cream, SF flavorings, cinnamon and/or SF sweeteners, CarbThin 0 NC whey (Netrition), FRESH baby spinach, frozen fruit or ice cubes] on Smoothie setting on my Blendtec. What a breakfast!! It can even be a snack during the day or evening. Also, each bagel has only 2 NC AND 14 FIBER!! **Wonderful product!!**

May 27, 2014Reviewer: Monica in Ohio* For a low carb bread product, these are very tasty. They have a good "bite" and not a lot of after taste. If you have been without a real bagel for any time, you will be very happy with this product. Toasts very nicely and gives you that bread feeling with a minimal carb impact.

May 09, 2014Reviewer: Michelle in Maine* Just wanted to say that these everything bagels have the look and mouth feel of a bagel - a slight after taste however. They toast up great, hold PB and cream cheese perfectly normal and make a tasty low-carb egg sandwich..This review is specific to Bagels, Everything

May 04, 2014Reviewer: A customer in New York* Bagels are good, they are small, the hole was so big on one I could have used it as a bracelet, but they do satisfy.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpfulMay 01, 2014Reviewer: Barbara in Indiana* I love these bagels! I just reordered some because I don't think I can do breakfast without them now that I have tried them. I ordered cinnamon and pumpkin spice last time. I preferred the pumpkin variety. I really couldn't discern the pumpkin, just a nice spice flavor. I couldn't taste the cinnamon in the cinnamon flavored ones. I am branching out and trying some other flavors this order.

April 18, 2014Reviewer: ANA in New York* I thought I was not going to ever taste bagels again after going low carb. These are fantastic and I don't feel guilty for eating them. Good taste and texture. Small in size especially with the big hole in the middle. I wish they did't remove the middle. This review is specific to Bagels, Everything
