March 27, 2015Reviewer: Kim in Louisiana* I really like the concept of this product--low carb, higher-protein almond butter. It has only a single gram of net carbs per 2 T. serving. I wanted to love it.
Unfortunately, it's really sweet. It's sweetened with erythritol, a sugar alcohol. I don't mind this sweetener, but the almond butter seems extremely sweet to me. Mind you, I've been eating unsweetened almond butter, so I got used to that kind. If you like your nut butters to be sweet, you'll love this.
It's also a little bit runny--it tends to squish out the sides of my low-carb bread slices when I make a sandwich--but not too bad.
I may buy it again, but I really wish it came in an unsweetened version, or was much more lightly sweetened. I love their hazelnut spread, which is also very sweet, but I expect that to be sweet.
Other than these fairly small issues, it's a great product.
