May 26, 2018Reviewer: Carla in Texas* I'm not sure the food chemists have ever tasted an actual donut. There was nothing donut-like about these. It was more like a bad-tasting biscuit with a weird, gummy, sweet topping. I couldn't even finish one. This review is specific to Carb Counters Donut Hole Mix, Glazed/Sweet Powdered Vanilla

These donut holes are low-carb and easy to make, and you don't need a special pan or frying apparatus/donut-making gadgets. With the included frosting packet, you can make them glazed or powdered, or a combination of both. I have always preferred glazed donuts, so that's what I make. Finished product is sweet and cake-ey so more like a cake donut than a fluffy Krispy-Kreme type donut. Final point: Watch the directions carefully - don't overcook these, or they'll get dry!
