April 21, 2018Reviewer: Constance in South Carolina* Easy to make, satisfying to eat.
April 28, 2017Reviewer: joanne in Arizona* This is the closest mix I've found for "Real" bread. Hardly any "Spongy" texture at all. Tastes like a really wheat-y roll. Great for burgers and sandwiches. I think the most convenient thing is I can make as little as one bun at a time and they only take a total, with baking, of about 20 minutes to make. If I make a couple of them, I put the unused in the fridge in a ziploc bag and they stay fresher and more moist. I usually make two at a time and use one whole egg instead of just egg white and about a tablespoon of oil and they come out moist with a little chew like a good bread should have. I also use more water until it's a thick cake-batter like consistency. Then I divide the dough in half and bake in my toaster oven. It's very hard to believe that they're only 3 carbs each. I kept checking the packaging information to make sure!
April 08, 2017Reviewer: Pamela in North Carolina* I really like this bun mix! It is fresh and moist after coming right out of the oven. I really liked the SmartBun but this is the winner so far. It gives me the taste of real multigrain bread. A little sweet but no bad after taste. There is a recipe on the bag to make four buns at a time and they are big buns. I may cut the portions down to get a thinner bun. Try the recipe first and go from there. I think these may be good as a breakfast bread (french toast?) with cinnamon/cream cheese. I see many options with this bread mix and will be buying this again and again!
September 15, 2016Reviewer: Karen in Florida* Really impressed! Not super heavy, bakes up nice and fresh. Comes with baking tins and has recipe if you only want to make one bun : ) Had a little sweet taste to it but halfway through I decided it was a nice touch. Great price for 12 delicious low carb (low fat) healthy buns.
