Navitas Naturals Chia Powder is perfect for sprinkling on top of cereals, oatmeal and salads, or add it to baked goods, raw chia crackers, piecrusts and more. You can also utilize chia powder as a vegan egg substitute - as you would flaxseed powder. Due to its gelling properties, you can use chia powder as a thickener for soups, smoothies and shakes. It has a neutral, mild nutty flavor that is not overpowering in recipes.

Chocolate Chip Oat Bars


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a baking sheet. In a small saucepan, melt the coconut oil into a liquid. Pour coconut oil into a food processor, and add in dates, milk of choice, vanilla extract and chia powder. Blend until a smooth paste has formed, stopping machine and scraping down the sides if needed. In a large bowl mix together oats, flour, baking soda, salt and hemp seeds. Stir in date mixture and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and cacao nibs. Spread mixture onto baking sheet with a spatula into a 1/2 inch layer. Cut wet dough with a knife into 4" x 2" rectangles, or desired shape. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until edges begin to turn golden brown. Let cool before serving. Yield: About 1 dozen bars

Sweet Tooth Cookies


  • 1/2 Cup Navitas Naturals Coconut Palm Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Yacon Whole Fruit Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Sauce
  • 1+1/2 Cup White or Brown Rice Flour
  • 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsps. Navitas Naturals Yacon Syrup
  • 2 Tbsps. Navitas Naturals Chia Powder
  • 1 tsp. Stevia
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh grated ginger root (+ 1 tsp)
  • 1 tsp. ground Cloves
  • 2 tsp. Baking Soda
Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl, beat the coconut butter, applesauce, chia powder and yacon syrup together. Add in the palm sugar and ginger and combine. In a separate bowl, combine flour, green stevia, cloves, nutmeg, and baking soda. Mix well. Mix dry and wet ingredients together, cover bowl, and chill for 30 to 60 minutes. Roll teaspoons of chilled dough into balls and place onto a baking sheet. Flatten balls slightly (cookies will not spread). Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. NOTE: because of the green stevia, the cookies will have a slight green hue on the inside. If you would like to avoid this, replace the stevia with 2 additional Tbsp. Palm Sugar. Yield: 3 3/12 dozen
